We are excited to announce our first TNT Cosplay Supply Artist of the Month: Chris Clarke of Clarke Cosplay!
“Cosplaying has helped me discover who I am as a person and continues to help me grow”
In 2016, Chris went to his first con (Denver Comic Con) and was inspired by all of the amazing costumes, props, and cosplayers to make his own. After 6 months of work, he’d finished his first full armor build, a set of Altera Armor from Monster Hunter! As a first project, this is very ambitious, but looked terrific! He wore it to 4 cons in 2017, entered into 3 competitions, and won an award at each contest propelling him into the Master Class division after the first one.
Chris is currently in the Denver, Colorado area, and recently finished an incredible Gundam Freedom Cosplay – Specifically ZGMF-X10A, with all custom handmade patterns and EVA foam. This took him two and a half years, and over 1,000 hours to complete! When the entire cosplay was complete, he did his first full fitting at an airfield to get some truly fantastic photos with his photographer. He was so proud to share his finished costume with everyone, and had a wonderful response from the community on his completed project!
Clarke Cosplay is determined to push his skills to the absolute limits to see what he is capable of making, he loves teaching others, and sharing his progress with the entire cosplay community as he works. We love his commitment to learning and sharing along with prop builders of any level. It’s very inspiring to see such a new artist accomplish so much, and help so many people throughout his journey!
Please feel free to explore Chris’ creations through his website and social media, and if you’re new, you’ll certainly want to see his helpful videos and content on his Youtube channel. When we asked Chris what his favorite product to work with was, he said “The foam! I love their (TNT) foam. All thicknesses, densities, and their adhesive-backed foams are incredible!”
